President Xi has faith in positive future for China

The Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation is by no means a dream of hegemony, President Xi Jinping said on Friday.

He made the remark when meeting foreign representatives attending the 2019 New Economy Forum in Beijing.

While he has great confidence in China's future, Xi said that the country never plans to replace anyone else.

China is just resuming the dignity and status it deserves, he continued, and the humiliation it suffered as a semi-colonial and semi-feudal country in the past will never be repeated.
