Blue calico threads intl student's Chinese dream

Maruf, a student from Bangladesh who spent the past year studying at Nantong Vocational College of Science and Technology in East China's Jiangsu province, found himself enamored by blue calico, a dyeing technique which has been popular in the area for more than 1,300 years. He made his own blue calico cloth as a gift for his mother and hopes to introduce the craft to his friends back home.
