Should women be allowed to freeze eggs?

Editor's note: Xu Zaozao, a 31-year-old single woman, recently sued the Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital after it rejected her request to freeze her eggs. According to regulations, unmarried women are forbidden to use assisted reproductive technology, including egg freezing, to defer their childbearing. Forum readers share their opinions.

It sounds like a good option for women who want to delay motherhood to pursue a career, or those haven't yet found the right partner. But egg-freezing is not risk-free. And the chances of having a child from a frozen egg are not high. Besides, freezing eggs isn't cheap.
