Beijing life inspires French artist's solo exhibition

French artist Nathanaelle Herbelin's solo exhibition is running at the George V Art Center in Beijing through Jan 19.

Born in Israel in 1989 and graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Beaux-arts De Paris in 2016, she now lives in Paris and Tel Aviv.

Herbelin visited Beijing in November on invitation by Yishu 8 Maison des Arts, and stayed for two months as a resident artist of the organization.

During those two months, she visited the Palace Museum and Summer Palace, saw performances, learned the seven-stringed Chinese instrument known as the guqin, and participated in some arts and charity events with local children.

She also kept creating and painted more than 20 works which are all displayed in the exhibition.
