Will online education replace traditional learning?

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2020-02-26 10:34

CARMEN (China)

Internet and online courses are trending but they cannot fully replace teachers and schools. Teachers will not be able to know if students are slacking or paying attention. Students might not be able to ask questions to gain a better understanding. Students at home need self disciple when taking online classes, which is difficult for many students who are immersed in games and the internet. They may not know how to control themselves at home when taking online classes. The home environment lacks the learning environment that schools have. Online classes are not practical in the long run. I hope kids can get back to school and resume classes normally.
