Shenzhen aims to complete 5G by August

Shenzhen, Guangdong province, said it will realize full 5G coverage by August.

The city plans to build about 30,000 5G base stations this year. A total of 15,500 5G base stations have been installed as of the end of last year.

So far, 5G covers the central business district, universities and transportation hubs in the city.

A number of 5G industry innovations have been springing up, with 5G applications vibrant in many industries and sectors.

The first 5G smart government service hall in China was opened in Shenzhen last year, an important step for the new technology to promote good governance.

Now Shenzhen developing its 5G industrial chain. Local companies that want to take ride on it have accelerated the development of 5G applications.
