Huatai Securities reports profit gains in Q1

BEIJING - Huatai Securities, a leading Chinese brokerage, reported an increase in net profits in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020.
The company raked in 2.89 billion yuan ($409.5 million) in net profits attributable to shareholders in Q1, up 3.9 percent year-on-year, according to its Q1 financial report filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Its revenue amounted to 6.87 billion yuan in the first three months, up 9.87 percent year-on-year, said the report.
The share of the company gained 2.83 percent to close at 18.14 yuan apiece Thursday.
