Cainiao Smart Logistics Network, the logistics arm of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba, launched an international postage service, the company said on Tuesday.

Customers in the Chinese mainland can use the mobile phone app Cainiao Guoguo, Cainiao's postage service, to send goods to over 20 countries and regions globally, including the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, UAE, Israel and Hong Kong. More countries and regions are expected to be included in this service in the near future, the company said.

Cainiao established the global logistics network in partnership with 4PX Express, a Chinese cross-border e-commerce solutions provider, and Cainiao also will leverage its regional e-Hubs and global partners for last-mile delivery. E-Hubs, Cainiao's global logistics hubs, have helped improve delivery reach and efficiency, as well as reduce logistics costs, which also served as the gateway for the flow of goods and helped to better manage the increasing shipment volume in an efficient and cost-effective manner, the company said.

"In light of the current global pandemic, international logistics services have been inevitably disrupted. As a leading e-logistics platform, we are developing a data-driven global network to cope with growing demand as more businesses move online," Cainiao Guoguo's General Manager Li Jianghua said.

"We are committed to delivering a better experience to our customers. Together with our global partners, we aim to improve global customer service, offer a more competitive rate and greater efficiency," Li said.
