China needs further international cooperation in this regard both bilaterally and multilaterally, including with WHO, G20, the United States and European nations, to contribute more to global containment of the pandemic, the report said.

Meanwhile, smooth flow of information is of great importance for countries to share information and experiences with each other for epidemic containment, and different countries should also intensify coordination and cooperation to break trade barriers to minimize economic consequences caused by the pandemic, the report said.

The report was released at the Global Think Tank Webinar, co-hosted by CASS and China Daily.

In mid-April, China Daily's think tank China Watch released a report on China's practice in the fight against COVID-19, which summarizes prevention and control measures China has taken.
