Over the first eight months of this year, Suifenhe, Heilongjiang province's largest land border port, has handled 111 China-Europe freight trains, up 46.3 percent year-on-year, China Railway Harbin Group said.

The trains carried 9,664 standard-sized shipping containers.

Rail freight routes via Suifenhe have reached Germany, Belgium and Russia, helping to fuel the domestic and international economy.

To ensure the smooth delivery of imports and exports, Harbin Group has promoted proactive measures, such as making special transportation plans for different enterprises and enhancing port clearance efficiency.

With the help of online services offered by the e-commerce website 95306.cn, the time from declaration to customs clearance has been shortened from half a day to less than 30 minutes, the group said.
