Most Americans want constructive ties with China, survey reveals

More than half of US respondents strongly support building a constructive relationship with China, according to an article published by The Washington Post.
When asked how important it was for the United States to maintain constructive ties with China, 65.1 percent of respondents of a survey said "important," wrote the article.
The survey was conducted online between Aug 17 and 19 by survey vendor Lucid, reaching 1,886 respondents.
Census weights for gender, education and race were applied to enhance the representativeness of the sample.
The article was coauthored by John Kuk, assistant professor of political science at the University of Oklahoma, and Nazita Lajevardi, assistant professor of political science at Michigan State University.
