Amazing China, an exhibition featuring Chinese crafts was held in London from Oct 2 to 5 during the 2020 London Craft Week. In addition, 15 videos featuring Chinese handicrafts recommended by the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Shanghai) were selected to show at a special event, Create Day.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's London Craft Week was postponed to October from May.

Guy Salter, chairman of the week, said he was delighted to see the exhibition feature contemporary Chinese handicrafts.

The chairman expected the works to show people their creators' talents and give a platform to artists from all over the world to communicate. Especially under the circumstances of the pandemic, he said, it is better to leave aside worries and appreciate beautiful handicrafts demonstrating people's creativity.

Both the online and offline activities of the show centered on the "beauty of art in life", featuring about 50 pieces of works by more than 30 artists from 12 provinces and cities of China.

The fruits of cultural exchange between the east and west were a highlight of the activities.
