The 10th China International Exhibition on Police Equipment will be held in Beijing from Nov 23 to 26, with more than 600 enterprises participating, the Ministry of Public Security said on Thursday.
The exhibition, with the theme, "Showcase Frontier Technology, Usher in a New Intelligent Policing Era", will only open to invited professionals due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the ministry said.
The exhibition started from 2002 and is held every two years. It displays the latest achievements of China's police affairs development and the world's advanced police equipment and technologies. The exhibition has been an important platform for promoting the development of domestic police equipment and international police exchanges and cooperation, the ministry said.
This year's exhibition will give greater prominence to cutting-edge science and technology, and fully demonstrate the latest achievements in the development of new equipment for countering terrorism, combating crime and serving the public, said Song Wei, director of the ministry's Equipment and Finance Bureau.
There are 16 exhibitions zones according to different equipment functions. Each zone integrates video, physical equipment, on-site interpretation and multimedia to create simulated operation scenes. An online exhibition also will be available, Song said.
To ensure safety and the smooth running of the exhibition, all participants shall strictly conduct health screenings and monitoring and register with an ID card, said Dong Xunze, an official of the ministry's Bureau of Police Service Guarantee.
