The International Monetary Fund is projecting a deep recession in 2020, and expects growth to rebound partially in 2021, climbing back to 5.2 percent, IMF chief economist Gita Gopinath says.

Gopinath adds that the road to recovery will be a difficult ascent and suggests how policies could be designed to put economies on a healthy growth path.
