Guiyang drug inspector tests over 40,000 samples without error

Chen Yuemeng, deputy head of the technical section of the Guiyang Public Security Bureau in Southwest China's Guizhou province, has worked on drug detection for 10 years, and has tested and identified 40,000 samples from 30,000 cases, without any errors.

Drug testing provides the most direct evidence of drug crime and no errors are allowed, said Chen, who's the chief drug inspector of Guiyang public security. Chen also worked on front-line duty as a narcotics police officer.

The detection of drug cases requires careful management. Drug testing is an important part of this process.

In the course of drug testing, Chen is serious and conscientious. He often "peels off" the mystery behind the veil of drugs as if stripping the layers of an onion. No sample has been found to be incorrectly tested in his cases dealing with heroin, meth, and K powder.

With Chen's efforts, Guiyang police have shortened the testing time of suspected heroin to about one minute from the previous one hour.

Drug trafficking is still rampant, driven by huge profits and market demands. But every drug crime has been accurately defined by Chen and his team with their professional skills, which provide strong technical support for Guiyang to crack down on drug crime and carry out drug control work.
