China Telecom, a major Chinese carrier, unveiled a cloud 5G smartphone on Tuesday as it works to meet consumers' growing demand for cost-effective 5G products.
The new 5G smartphone, named Tianyi No 1 2021, comes with a 6.53-inch display and is powered by the Chinese Unisoc Technologies Co T7510 5G chipset.
China Telecom said the phone is part of the company's broader efforts to promote the development of cloud-network integration.
The Beijing-based company said the use of cloud mobile phones is inseparable from cloud services. China Telecom's cloud service capabilities can realize rapid data transfer from phones to the cloud, and provide users with safe and reliable smart cloud services.
Priced from 1,199 yuan ($185) in China, the new model comes with support for standalone and non-standalone dual-band 5G networks and all mainstream 5G frequency bands in China.
