Xinhua | Updated: 2021-02-02 15:28

BEIJING -- China's national center against telecom and internet fraud has opened its official accounts on five major Chinese social media platforms, China Police Daily reported Tuesday.

The platforms include popular social networking services WeChat and Weibo, as well as short-video platforms Douyin and Kuaishou.

The center will regularly publish micro-dramas, short presentations, and mini-documentaries on fraud investigations on these platforms to enhance public awareness of fraudulent practices, the report noted.

The upcoming videos will focus on major types of telecom and internet fraud involving loan procurements and imposters posing as police officers or customer service.
