The Ukrainian deputy health minister made the announcement on Wednesday. Earlier, the country signed a deal with Sinovac to acquire 1.9 million vaccine doses last December.

Ukraine launched its vaccination campaign in February with the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca.

Ukraine has so far registered more than 1.46 million virus cases, including 28,925 deaths, since the start of the pandemic.
