Yunnan Baiyao's net profit up 31.85% in 2020

KUNMING - China's Yunnan Baiyao Group announced that its net profit attributable to shareholders reached 5.52 billion yuan ($843.4 million) in 2020, up by 31.85 percent year-on-year.

Headquartered in southwest China's Yunnan province, Yunnan Baiyao is a time-honored brand famous for producing baiyao, a white powder used to stop bleeding and relieve pain.

According to a company report released on Friday, it raked in 32.74 billion yuan in operating revenue last year, an annual increase of 10.38 percent.

The company is also a leading toothpaste seller in China, with its market share reaching 22.2 percent by the end of last year.
