Average salary for new jobs reaches 22,717 yuan in Q1

The average salary for new jobs in Beijing reached 22,717 yuan ($3,501.24) in the first quarter of the year, the Beijing Daily app reported on Tuesday.
The median monthly salary of nearly 80 percent of positions surpassed 20,000 yuan per month, with the highest amounting to 43,360 yuan per month for blockchain engineering and technical professionals, according to a report on salaries in Beijing.
The salary range of about 71 percent high-end new positions is between 20,000 and 30,000 yuan per month in the first quarter of this year, the report said.
About 12 out of 59 new listed positions are on the high end, including blockchain engineering and technical professionals, information security testers, cloud computing engineering and technical professionals, birth defect prevention and control consultants.
The median monthly salary of these high-end new positions is 22,717 yuan per month, according to the report.
Technical professionals, staff members and sales personnel were normal hot spots in the Beijing job market in the first quarter of this year, with median monthly salaries of 12,896 yuan, 9,273 yuan and 10,438 yuan, respectively.
The demand for technical positions was greatest, accounting for 34.7 percent of the total.
Payment for skilled personnel increased 2.3 percent on average from the previous quarter, with salaries for senior technicians and technicians both surpassing 10,000 yuan at 10,948 yuan per month and 10,008 yuan per month, respectively.
