African swine fever case reported in Inner Mongolia

Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner of Inner Mongolia autonomous region reported an African swine fever case on Wednesday, the Information Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said on Thursday.
This case was found in a pig farm, with 432 pigs alive, 381 pigs infected and 343 pigs dead.
The local government started the emergency response including demarcating the epidemic area and culling the remaining pigs in the affected region. At present, disposal and epidemiological investigations are in progress.
Since the beginning of this year, a total of 10 cases of African swine fever have been reported in China (all of which are domestic pig cases), with a total of 2,100 pigs culled. The African swine fever is in a sporadic outbreak in China, and there are no regional outbreaks according to data released by authorities.
