The US allies over-concerned about Uyghurs but blind to the killings of Palestinians

The United States, Britain, Germany, and some NGOs including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, known as the US allies, recently hosted a virtual event on Xinjiang's human rights situation at the United Nations in New York. They have accused China of genocide, forced labor, and other human rights violations in its northwestern region Xinjiang.

The allies have long been blaming China for the oppression of Uyghur Muslims in the region. They have already imposed several sanctions and initiated tougher measures against China for, what they say, violations of human rights in Xinjiang.

Moreover, some Western media continues fabricating and running different stories of Muslim oppression apparently to justify punitive actions taken by their governments against China. Thus the stories of concentration camps, mass detentions of millions of Uyghurs, forced labor and birth control, and genocide in Xinjiang have been making the rounds for several years.

However, the allies have now created a huge hue and cry about Uyghurs at a time when Israel is indiscriminately killing Palestinian Muslims including women and children. They are pretending to be friends and well-wishers of Muslims, but they have been caught red-handed this time. Because they are clamoring for the human rights of Muslims in China, but quite silent about the killings of Muslims in Palestine. Thus their hypocrisies have been revealed to the world once again.

The sheer hypocrisies of the allies have helped people's memories flash through previous incidents of their (the allies) prejudice for Israel and blindness to Zionists' worst crimes against humanity and indiscriminate killings of Palestinian Muslims for over seven decades.

The world still remembers how the then British empire in cooperation with its allies established Israel in the land of Palestine. People reminisce about how the US and its allies have since been protecting and assisting Israel to become a nuclear power from scratch.

The International community knows how often and blindly the US has been applying its veto power in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to save Israel from the accountability and prospective trials for its crimes against humanity in the territory of Palestine.

People will never forget and forgive the allies for their unjust and illegitimate roles in helping Israel occupy Palestinian homes and property. Muslims will never consider them friends, no matter how much they pretend to be well-wishers of the Islamic community.

The double standard of the allies in dealing with Muslims based on where they live has divulged their true color to the world, especially to the Muslims. It is crystal clear that the allies are playing with the sacred sentiment of Islamic brotherhood to turn Muslims against China. Thus the allies want to harm both Muslim countries and China that are interconnected, interdependent, and complementary to their development and existence to some extent.

On the contrary, China has come out as a friend in need of Muslims by taking bold steps in the UNSC as its chairman for May. It has proposed and chaired an emergency meeting at the UNSC to address the deteriorating hostility between Israel and Palestine.

China has expressed high concern about the current Palestine-Israel situation. In collaboration with relevant countries, China has drafted and disseminated a press statement. Most countries supported this draft and called for its early release. However, the UNSC has yet to reach a consensus on it due to the obstruction of a country, understandably the US.

China has condemned violence targeting civilians. It has called on parties to avoid further provocative rhetoric and acts and take actions conducive to reducing violence and achieving a soft-landing of the situation, to restore peace and stability on the ground at an early date.

China has reiterated that the UNSC should do something to reaffirm commitment and firm support to the two-state solution, work for the de-escalation of the situation and fulfill the obligations of upholding international peace and security. China has also reaffirmed its determination to continue its best efforts to ensure that the UNSC takes action about the situation in East Jerusalem.

Though the allies are running propaganda against China's Xinjiang policy, Beijing has walked a long way to develop the region, resulting in an improvement of the lifestyle of Muslims there. From 2014 to 2019, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in Xinjiang increased by 8.6 percent. The rural residents have witnessed an average annual nominal growth of their income of 8.9 percent.

The world has already learned that Xinjiang has bidden farewell to absolute poverty. The last impoverished counties including Shache, Moyu, and Akto in the region have managed to end abject poverty.

People in the once-poverty-hit counties now have stable access to education, medical care, and other civil amenities. Following the poverty eradication from the last counties, more than 3.08 million registered impoverished residents in Xinjiang have shaken off absolute poverty forever.

Muslims are well aware that the US allies are pretending to come out as their friends by shedding crocodile tears for Uyghurs in Xinjiang. But the allies' treatments of Muslims in other regions say otherwise. Muslims think that the allies are using the Xinjiang issue as a shield to hide their long history of oppression in Muslim countries. Since actions certainly speak louder than words, Muslims know who are their genuine and bonafide friends around the world.
