Premier Li Keqiang will attend the second Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 Summit via video link on Sunday, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Friday.
Focusing on the theme "Inclusive Green Recovery Towards Carbon Neutrality", the event will be the first multilateral environmental summit to be hosted by the Republic of Korea.
Zhao said Li's attendance to the summit demonstrated China's proactive posture as a major country to actively take part in global climate governance and promote green recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the pathogen still raging globally and global economic recovery faced with immense challenges, Zhao said China is willing to continue to work with the global community to move forward with global environmental governance, work toward inclusive green recovery globally and jointly foster a community of life for man and nature
