The Communist Party of China stands ready to strengthen communications and exchanges over governance experience with political parties in Arab countries and hold in-depth discussions with them on topics including development paths, strategic planning, reform and innovation, said Song Tao, minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Song made the remark on Thursday at an event held in Hebei province for diplomatic envoys from 20 Arab countries and representatives of the League of Arab States to learn about the CPC's history.

The event, which was organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC's Hebei provincial committee, brought the foreign diplomats to Xibaipo, an old revolutionary base in North China's Hebei province and a village in Zhengding county.

"The CPC is willing to work together with the Arab countries to inject new connotation into the China-Arab strategic partnership and to push for more progress to be made in the joint building of a China-Arab states community with a shared future," Song said.

He also encouraged the foreign envoys to continue to actively participate in, support and promote the political exchanges between China and Arab countries.

Wang Dongfeng, secretary of the CPC Hebei provincial committee, said the event, which came at a time when the CPC is going to celebrate its 100th founding anniversary, is of great significance for telling the stories of the CPC.

"It will also help to deepen the friendship as well as practical cooperation between China and Arab nations," Wang said.

Xibaipo used to be the headquarters of the Party and residence of its leaders including Chairman Mao Zedong.

During a visit to Xibaipo earlier on Thursday, Shorsh Khalid Said, Iraqi ambassador to China, said it was impressive that the CPC leadership had made remarkable achievements in such a rough environment.

"I think an important reason was because the CPC had won support from the people by closely uniting them around the Party," he said.

Hussam Al Husseini, Jordanian ambassador to China, said visits to China's revolutionary sites help people clearly see the development path of the CPC and are very inspiring.

"We can see that China has united people from different ethnic groups together in an undifferentiated way to seek common development. This experience is worthy of being borrowed by other countries across the world including my country," he said.

Awale Ali Kullane, Somali ambassador to China, said that as China is making rapid progress in various areas, it is important to understand more about the country by learning the history.

"That's why I'm fascinated to learn about the history of China and the CPC. I will learn more and also encourage more of my people to understand them," he said.
