BEIJING - China's sales of heavy trucks declined in June, industry data showed.

An estimated total of 148,000 heavy trucks were sold last month, down 13 percent year-on-year, according to auto industry information service provider cvworld.cn.

The June sales also saw a 9 percent drop from May, the website said, citing unfavorable factors such as shrinking market demand and high inventories.

The decline failed to spoil the remarkable first half of 2021. During the January-June period, the country posted record-high half-year sales by selling a total of 1.04 million heavy trucks.
