Strikers protest Haiti’s worsening security after missionaries abducted

The streets of Haiti’s capital and other cities were quiet and largely empty Monday as thousands of workers launched a strike to protest the Caribbean nation's worsening security, following the kidnapping Saturday of 17 missionaries from the US and Canada in the capital Port-au-Prince.
