Mindfront Health completes pre-series A funding round

Mindfront Health, which focuses on providing comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and evidence-based psychotherapy services, announced that it has with the support of Northern Light Venture Capital completed its pre-series A funding round.

A subsidiary of the Luye Life Sciences Group, Mindfront Health started operating in China in 2020. Leveraging Luye's clinical service and operation system from Australia and its strategic collaborations with domestic institutions, the company currently has opened six institutions in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Xi'an, as well as an internet medical service platform.

Tang Dekai, CEO of Mindfront Health, said that the institution will continue to build its mental and psychological comprehensive diagnosis and treatment service capabilities.

"We'll firmly promote the construction of an integrated online and offline medical service system and be dedicated to providing professional, evidence-based, and accessible mental and psychological services to people with mental disorders and mental sub-health issues in the country," he said.

Experts including Yu Xin, honorary chairman of the psychiatric medicine branch of the Chinese Medical Association, have said that the current supply of mental health diagnosis and treatment in China is unable to keep up with the rising demand, noting that patients sometimes have to make appointments months in advance.

The Shanghai Mental Health Center and Mindfront Health had in September 2020 reached an agreement to provide non-drug medical services for patients suffering from mild to moderate mental health problems.
