Among the many parcels of anti-pandemic supplies sent from people across the country to help Shanghai in its efforts to defeat a local outbreak, one package had a piece of unique — and unintentional — cargo.
News portal The-Paper.cn reported on the night of April 4, SinaWeibo user "AnyiMiantiao ah" posted, "Anyone in Shanghai who got a cellphone in a delivery package of vegetables please contact me. My sister was busy packing the supplies and left her phone in the vegetables. I just couldn't help but laugh."
The post has become an online hit overnight.
According to The-Paper.cn, a Shanghai resident who received the "special" package has handed the phone to their local neighborhood committee.
When giving the phone to a driver from Yangzhou, the committee also wrote a note to prove the cellphone's owner was not in Shanghai to make sure her health code wouldn't change from green to yellow.
The phone was sent back to its owner on Tuesday night.
