The reality has once again showed that China-US economic and trade relations are mutually beneficial and win-win in nature, and the two sides have huge potentials to expand trade cooperation, said Shu Jueting, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Commerce, at an online media briefing on Thursday.

She made the remarks while discussing some contents of the US Export Report 2022, an annual analysis published by the US-China Business Council, or USCBC, a trade group of 260 companies that do business in China.

"As the world's two largest economies, the stable and healthy development of China-US economic and trade relations is not only cohesive with the fundamental interests of the two countries and their people, but also conducive to the stabilizing of the global industrial chain and supply chains and world economic recovery," Shu said.

"We hope the US' side will cancel the additional tariffs on Chinese products and the sanctions against Chinese companies as soon as possible, to create favorable conditions for cooperation to expand," she added.

According to the USCBC report, US goods exports to China last year increased 21 percent to a record high of $149 billion, and in 2020, the number of jobs supported by goods and services exports to China were nearly 860,000.
