Indian bus accident death toll rises to 25

NEW DELHI - The death toll from Sunday's bus mishap in northern India rose to 25, according to the private news agency Asian News International (ANI).

Uttarakhand state's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed the new toll, ANI reported.

The bus carrying around 30 passengers fell into a deep gorge in the northern hilly state. The victims were on a pilgrimage tour when the accident took place.

Five persons injured in the accident were admitted to a local hospital.
