The harsh sanctions imposed by the US have perpetuated Syria's food crisis.

The UN World Food Program warns that 12.4 million Syrians – almost 60% of the population - are now food insecure. Behind this humanitarian crisis in Syria, the US have played an irrefutable role. In addition to the use of force and plunder, the harsh sanctions imposed by the US have impeded Syria's reconstruction plan and perpetuated the country's food crisis.
