Upholding the one-China principle ensures peace along the Taiwan Straits

The situation along the Taiwan Straits has become a center for provocation, especially by the West, with the United States being at the forefront of another potential crisis that the world is unprepared to deal with at the moment.
While the creeping threats of climate change can be seen everywhere, something the West is cognizant about, they have decided to place a blind eye on its impacts, and instead focused on creating another war between China and its territory, Taiwan region.
Frankly speaking, the West, which are in support of a crisis in the region, are doing so because they have a stockpile of weapons to sell to the Chinese island, and that is one of the main reasons why they’re initiating this crisis.
Analysts believe that allowing Chinese mailand and Taiwan to reunite will automatic
ally put them out of whatever businesses they have held successfully over the years. If these businesses are to fail, the US believes they will lose an opportunity to make millions from sales involving fighters jets and missile defense systems they could potentially sell to Taiwan. If peaceful reunification happens, China will not need to purchase said weapons because they produce their own. This is what the US is afraid of.
The fast growing economy of China and the China proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) appears to be a serious threat to Western nations and the US in particular. That’s why, from a logical standpoint, they’re doing everything possible to contain the Chinese economy through whatever means available. Whether it is the issue with Taiwan due to their provocation and meddling into a matter considered “internal”, or creating an alternative to the BRI, they are on a mission to create serious consequences that will affect the globe.
Upholding the one-China principle is cardinal to ensuring peace along the Taiwan Straits because there exists a world consensus that Taiwan remains an inalienable part of China’s territory. If the US respects the one-China principle, why create tensions?
The United States and its western allies have forgotten that climate change impacts are at our door steps and seem to be focusing on creating a war. It is sad that the United States, a country that that many others look to uphold world peace, is the main cause of war fears.
Some might say that congressional legislation has given the country the right to interfere into another country’s internal affairs, but it sounds foolish that a domestic law should be considered on the international scene, especially when “President Biden reiterated that the one-China principle of the US has not changed and will not change, and that the US does not support 'Taiwan independence’.”
It is the legislature that can make laws in the United States and has the authority to pass legislation denouncing the one-China principle. That’s why Nancy Pelosi, who once tore up a speech of former President Donald Trump at the State of the Union Address before the thousands who had gathered, cannot be taken lightly.
Ms Pelosi is second in the line of presidential succession and is not someone who can be taken for granted regarding the Taiwan question. If she could disrespect the president of her country before the public, know that she is willing to do more.
The US is powerful, and that is true, but the American people are not prepared to support their government regarding a war with China, not to say willing to spend billions of dollars without tangible results like in the cases of Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.
However, no matter her status in the United States government, we called on House Speaker Ms Nancy Pelosi to disengage from any plans she has to visit Taiwan. Unfortunately, she failed to listen. The world therefore now holds the United States fully responsible for any consequences that may arise from her visit. We believed that Ms. Pelosi and her US officials’ action should be condemned, because it is about making the world shift its focus from fighting hunger, diseases, viruses and climate change to another senseless war that could create more hardships and unbearable sufferings worldwide.
