58% of human infectious diseases worsen by climate change

Researchers found that 58 percent of known human infectious illnesses, including malaria, hantavirus, cholera and anthrax, have been at some point worsened by extreme weather such as floods, heatwaves and droughts, according to a new study published Monday by the journal Nature Climate Change.
