New Jersey Chinese school celebrates 20th anniversary

Livingston Huaxia Chinese School (LHXCS) has kicked off its 20th anniversary celebration.
Around 125 guests attended the Sept 25 celebration at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club in South Orange, New Jersey. Attending were faculty and staff, the board of trustees, Parent Teacher Association committee, former administration teams, longtime volunteers of LHXCS and honored guests of community leaders.
Principal Liang Ge welcomed all guests and expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the community for the past 20 years.
Zhuoshu Li, LHXCS's first principal, spoke of the founding process of the school in 2002.
The celebration continued on Oct 1. All families and friends of LHXCS were invited to a cake ceremony.
LHXCS was founded in 2002 in Livingston, New Jersey as a weekend Chinese school. The peak enrollment of students once reached more than 1,000.
