Christmas lights shorten to save energy

On Nov 20, Christmas lights were switched on on the Champs Elysees in Paris to kick off the Christmas season.
But the lights will be turned off earlier at night and will run a week for a week less than usual.
Displays in other European countries have also been cut short to save energy.
