Holiday online sales set new record, topping $200b

Consumers spent a record of nearly $212 billion on online shopping during the US holiday season from Nov 1 to Dec 31, up 3.5 percent from the previous year, according to a report released Thursday by Adobe Analytics. Of that, $35.3 billion was spent online over Thanksgiving weekend alone.
