A total of 20 economic and trade delegations of East China's Zhejiang province have attracted overseas orders valued at more than 18 billion yuan ($2.66 billion) in just December, China News Service reported on Monday.
Export confidence index of foreign trade enterprises in Zhejiang rose 0.1 and 2.3 percentage points in November and December, respectively, a rebound of two consecutive months, latest statistics showed.
The provincial government will organize more than 1,000 business delegations to explore overseas markets this year, with over 10,800 enterprises participating, said Chen Zhicheng, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce. "Support will be granted to companies in aspects such as funding sources and approval processes," he added.
Orders from exhibitions are taking up around 80 percent of new orders of foreign trade companies in Zhejiang. Thus, the province is set to fully support enterprises to participate in more than 100 international exhibitions offline in 2023.
In addition, Zhejiang will also speed up building its foreign trade financial system to grant more support to foreign trade enterprises. The policy-based special loan for foreign trade industry will increase by about 10 percent this year, said the report.
