2023 Happy Chinese New Year celebrations announced in UK

A video sent by Lang Lang was screened at the press conference. The renowned pianist and cultural ambassador of the 2023 Happy Chinese New Year sent a congratulatory message for this event.

Another celebrated pianist Xiao Di, performed pieces of Chinese classical music such as Spring Festival Overture.

The 2023 Happy Chinese New Year events in the UK feature more than 100 programs in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, and Manchester.

A series of exhibitions and activities related to Chinese culture will be launched in museums, including the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory Greenwich, and Science Museum in London from this weekend and will continue into next month. On the first day of the Lunar New Year this Sunday, the London Philharmonic Orchestra will stage the UK premiere of Buddha Passion. The 22nd Festival of Spring celebrations will be carried out in London's iconic Trafalgar Square on Sunday.
