Renditions by musicians from top Chinese theaters and orchestras were a feast for the ears and eyes, including famed Chinese pipa player Zhao Cong from the China National Traditional Orchestra, the Folk Music Troupe of the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater, and the Orchestra of the National Center for the Performing Arts. They staged performances in solos and ensembles, expressing jubilation for Spring Festival.

Belgian maestro Peter Ritzen is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer and conductor. Taking inspirations from the Spring Festival Overture, originally penned by Chinese composer Li Huanzhi, he created a new composition called Celebrating New Year with Spring Festival Overture. His deep immersion in Chinese culture has given him a whole repertoire of large-scale works inspired by China and Chinese traditions.

Peter Ritzen's performance was well-received, winning plaudits on social media. "It's full of joy and energy", wrote internet user IIse Vogelsang on Facebook. "Brilliant work. Brilliant interpretation," commented Eugenia Dushina.
