US govt is the real information thief: Editorial flash

Despite the US government infamous history of prying into the secrets of others such as European leaders, the words of Elon Musk that the US government had full access to everything on the Twitter platform, even private direct messages, comes as a shock to the public.

It means that all Twitter users in the US were naked to the government there. To every piece of message they send to each other in private, there were a pair of prying eyes watching from darkness, eager to read the full information and put both the sender and recipient under control.

Interestingly, it is the same US government that is attempting again and again to block TikTok and other apps whose only original sin is their Chinese blood. For that purpose, the US government has so fabricated about TikTok "stealing data" and "violating users' privacy" that its congress hearing with TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew has become a laughing stock.
