China Philharmonic Orchestra stages concert in Lishui city

The 2023 Lishui City Forest Concert was held in Jiulong Nation Wetland Park in Lishui, East China’s Zhejiang province on May 13.
Under the baton of conductor Xia Xiaotang, China Philharmonic Orchestra performed prominent musical works, including arias from Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni and Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen. Chinese music pieces, including Ode to the Red Flag and Haixia Suite, were also performed during the concert.
Chinese baritone Wang Yiqing and mezzo-soprano Jin Jiujie performed with the orchestra.
The concert attracted over 1,500 audience members, who gave a long standing ovation, and the orchestra returned to the stage with three music pieces during the encore session.
