Ministry official touts China's modernization path

The Chinese path to modernization is a great invention by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, Nong Rong, assistant foreign minister, said at an event at the headquarters of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Beijing on Thursday.

The event was organized to brief foreign diplomats based in China about the bank and Beijing Financial Street.

"At present, the Communist Party of China is leading the Chinese people on the Chinese path to modernization, promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in an all-round way," he said.

He voiced his hope diplomats from various countries will share the success stories of ICBC and Beijing Financial Street as well as stories about the Chinese path to modernization.

Nong noted in the past few decades, China has achieved two miracles: long-term social stability and rapid economic development.

In the process, China's financial industry has also made considerable progress and has played an important role in ensuring and promoting the country's development, he said.
