A compilation of discourses by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on work related to women, children and the women's federation has been published as part of broader efforts to bolster the protection of the rights of women and children in China.

The book, compiled by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, was recently published by the Central Party Literature Press.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the CPC Central Committee, with Xi at its core, has prioritized and actively advanced work related to women's development, and strengthened the Party's leadership in this regard, harnessing the active role of women in various aspects and facilitating the historic achievements of the women's cause in China.

Xi's discourses on work related to women, children and the women's federation are of far-reaching significance to promoting work on women's development in the new era, staying committed to the fundamental national policy of gender equality, and protecting the lawful rights and interests of women and children, according to a statement released by the publisher on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has been published in French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Japanese and traditional Chinese. The editions, which contain a compilation of 109 spoken and written works of Xi from Feb 3, 2020 to May 10,2022, along with 45 photographs taken since January 2020, were published after the English and simplified Chinese editions of the book made their debuts in July 2022.
