National Congress of the CYLC inspires many

Youths are in high spirits and inspired by the speech that Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC, delivered on behalf of the CPC Central Committee at the opening of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China on Monday.
In the speech, Cai calls on the youth of the nation to shoulder responsibilities with stronger belief and grow to have dreams and sense of responsibility in the new era.
Yuan Li, secretary of youth league committee of Beidahuang Group - an agriculture-related company in Harbin, Northeast province of Heilongjiang -, said that she felt very excited and inspired when listening to the speech on-site and also discovered greater sense of responsibility to encourage more youths of the group to make their contribution in sectors of rural vitalization and modern agriculture development in the future.
Delegates of the congress said that CYLC cadres should take on greater responsibilities in winning youths' hearts and support and uniting their strengths and wisdom. In the speech, Party committees of all levels are urged to put focus on the operation of youth leagues nationwide and help solve their problems. Party committees at all levels should also be strict with CYLC cadres while caring for them warmly to make them more confident and recognize their own work as a glorious one.
Cai Wenming, secretary of youth league committee of China Railway Beijing Group Co Ltd, said that he will always keep in mind the requirements of honesty, self-discipline and being loyal to the CPC, and also remaining concerned about the youths in his work and who will lead the youths of the company to make their contribution to a higher-quality development of the nation's railway.
Ling Taiyang, a student from the School of Information Science and Engineering of Southeast University in Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu province, said that strong youths make a strong nation and the speech shows the importance and care the CPC Central Committee has attached to the youth, which also directs the way for them to move forward.
"As a young student majoring in science and technology, I will be adventurous and down-to-earth and master skills and show good performance in basic academic research. I will actively join social welfare works and steel myself through practices. I will integrate my ideals with patriotism and serve the nation with technology," he said.
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China opened on Monday and will close on Thursday, and is being attended by nearly 1,500 delegates from across the nation, representing the more than 73 million Communist Youth League members aged 14 to 28.
