The Ohio police released a law enforcement video Monday in which officers instructed a K-9 dog to attack an unarmed black man. The incident occurred on July 4 when Ohio State Highway Patrol attempted to pull over and inspect a semitrailer truck with a missing rear mud flap.
After a pursuit, the 23-year-old truck driver, Jadarrius Ross, exited the truck with his hands raised in a sign of surrender, and a state trooper repeatedly told local police, "Do not release the dog with his hands up!"
An officer still released the K-9 dog, and the canine attacked Ross for over half a minute, Ross suffered significant bleeding and was sent to a local hospital, news reports said.
