The Foreign Ministry on Thursday reminded outbound tourists to be well-prepared before each journey, and to stay safe and healthy in their travels as China resumed outbound group tours to more countries and regions.

Starting from Thursday, travel agencies across the country and online travel companies will resume operating outbound group tours to more than 70 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said in a statement.

With international passenger flights continuing to resume, more Chinese people are ready to travel abroad, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

In order to make outbound tours easy, the government agencies in charge will provide businesses in the tourism sector with the necessary guidance for the implementation, the spokesperson said in a statement.

Since February, China has resumed outbound group tours to two groups of destinations on a pilot basis, which has been generally well-received.

China hopes all outbound tourists will enjoy their trips and have a safe journey home, the spokesperson said.
