Chinese tech company Oppo unveiled its latest clamshell foldable smartphone, Find N3 Flip, featuring triple cameras, on Tuesday, in its latest push to bring high-quality mobile imaging functions to foldable handsets.
The move came after Oppo's Find N2 Flip became the No 1 model among clamshell foldable smartphones in China in the first six months of this year, according to data from the market research company Counterpoint.
Oppo said Find N3 Flip boasts the Hasselblad camera system, marking a big update from Find N2 Flip. There's an updated 48-megapixel ultrawide module and a 47mm equivalent 32-megapixel portrait lens with 2 times optical zoom. The main camera is a 50-megapixel unit.
Pete Lau, chief product officer of Oppo, said the new generation Find N3 Flip is the only small foldable smartphone that can truly serve as the main handset, leading in all aspects of internal screen reliability, battery life, communication capabilities, external screen ecology, shooting and charging
