Diplomatic envoys tour Jiangsu's green energy progress

Diplomatic envoys from 15 countries witnessed the green energy and environmental protection progress in four cities of coastal Jiangsu province on a tour from Monday to Thursday.

Throughout the Jiangsu Tour for Diplomatic Envoys to China, which was organized by the department of foreign affairs management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic envoys visited cutting-edge companies specialized in green energy, smart grid and marine equipment in Nantong, Wuxi, Changzhou and the Jiangsu capital of Nanjing.

During the trip, they interacted with leaders of China's green energy industry, visited an electric car production workshop, watched solar panels erected in fish ponds and experienced self-driving vehicles.

Many diplomatic envoys said that the tour had left a deep impression and that they are looking forward to more cooperation in green energy between China and their countries.

Grahame Morton, ambassador of New Zealand to China, said during his visit to green technology giant Envision Group and Nanshan Internet of Vehicles Town project that he was impressed by Wuxi's flourishing green energy industry, and that he expected more cooperation with Wuxi since New Zealand boasts abundant offshore wind energy.
