BYD debuts at Tokyo's new motor show

In addition, the automaker's premium electric sub-brand Yangwang showcased its inaugural model, the Yangwang U8, as its very first display outside of the Chinese market. Meanwhile, DENZA, another subsidiary of BYD, showcased its high-end luxury multi-purpose vehicle, the DENZA D9.

"For the past 28 years, BYD has consistently relied on technological innovation and a green dream as our core values, continually striving to achieve the diversity of lifestyles and the harmonious unity of the natural environment. With the support of Japanese consumers, we are committed to promoting electric vehicle technology and products, helping electric vehicles become an essential green transportation choice for the public," said Liu Xueliang, general manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, at a media briefing on Wednesday.

Atsuki Tofukuji, president of BYD Auto Japan, said BYD is showcasing a variety of models at the Japan Mobility Show and bringing advanced electric vehicle technology, actively empowering Japan's electrification transformation.
