Q3 China's economic policymakers have assured greater efforts to attract foreign capital, widen market access and ensure a level playing field for both domestic and foreign companies. In this context, what new policy measures do you expect from Chinese authorities in the near future?

SHEN: We appreciate the continuous opening-up and favorable business environment in China. One demonstration of this is the annual China International Import Expo, which showcases China's long-term commitment to opening-up and supporting collaboration. ASML's culture is highly in line with this spirit. We have attended the CIIE for the fifth time this year to further strengthen our connection with the Chinese market.

Most recently, China issued a document addressing opinions on further optimizing the business environment for foreign investment and increasing the attraction of foreign investment. We believe these efforts will be undertaken to further improve ties between China and overseas investors.

We also noticed China has made progress in strengthening its IP protection framework. We highly appreciate the continuous emphasis from the authorities to protect the interests of intellectual property owners, promoting the development of science, technology and the social economy, and creating a more favorable environment for foreign investment.

FU: From a holistic standpoint, China is facing some major challenges, such as an aging population and industrial restructuring. In terms of policies, China's current policies are favorable to foreign companies operating in the country. Its commitment to opening-up remains steadfast and it increasingly attracts more foreign investment to China. We do expect China to insist on a level playing field and opening-up policy to ensure a fair business environment. Furthermore, we hope to see policies unveiled to promote the growth of local companies, allowing us to access top-tier providers across the value chain, from manufacturing to sales. This, in turn, will help us develop a comprehensive ecosystem to offer products and services to both the international and domestic markets.

KHAOU: We believe that China's series of strategic plans to adhere to high-level opening-up to the outside world, continuously optimize the business environment for foreign companies and encourage foreign enterprises to expand investment are all encouraging to foreign enterprises, including Dassault Systemes. These policies give us confidence and high expectations to continuously take root in the Chinese market and empower Chinese enterprises to carry out innovative practices for digital transformation.

For Dassault Systemes, the attractiveness of the Chinese market is not confined to the business and investment environment alone. The idea of opening-up and win-win cooperation pursued by the Chinese government has given us great impetus. A series of major actions taken by the Chinese government continuously stimulate the vitality and innovation momentum of various industries in the Chinese market. The Chinese government has always been committed to providing a fairer, more just, and nondiscriminatory business environment for foreign enterprises to develop in China.

HERZBERG: One vision we have is industrial intelligence. We see opportunities for policies encouraging companies to invest in digital solutions, like ours, to enhance productivity and sustainability. Such policies could incentivize the adoption of advanced digital technologies, optimize operations and reduce environmental impact.
